People never say “Oh, you painted your cabinets.” … they say “Oh! You redid your kitchen!”
It IS actually possible to have a “full tear-out remodel” look for a fraction of the cost, time and the mess.
There is an art to updating any area of your home, especially the areas that help to retain the value of your realestate; the kitchen and the bathrooms. This art includes working with existing architecture, augmenting wonderful features as well as making the features that may be to expensive to replace recede into the back ground as as to become almost unnoticable. By using color and design and coordination with other elements (countertop, backsplash, flooring), we can help you get the very most out of your living space, making it the space that you love to live in.
After more than a decade and a half in the WNY area painting cabinetry, we have expanded our services to include other amenities below to enhance what can be done to give you the “most bang for your buck” while updating the heart of your home. The free estimate and design consultation that we offer as a basic part of what we deliver will help you create a coordinated “model home feel” working with the existing home you have and taking into account the budget that you have to work with for the project.
CABINET PAINTING
“Everyone knows” that a large part of retaining the value of a home is to invest in updating kitchens and bathrooms. It may seem cliché but, its true. Popular colors change every year but every decade or so palate trends make a major shift in the neutral colors that are the basis of all of the trends. Though cabinet styles have a longer “shelf life” of style than wall paint, certain looks can become dated.
Most cabinets, and their layouts, are actually in good shape and work very well. Often times clients have already changed their countertops or backsplash and what is needed is to find the correct color in order to augment the beauty of the granite or tile as well as handle the issue of “too much conflicting wood” in the space when there are several different types of wood.
Color is magic. With the right color you can augment the things that you want to showcase, (certain colors in granite), and make recede those things that you don’t want to stand out so much (floor tile from 20 years ago).
Updating doesn’t mean gutting, it is just the knack to find the things that you can upgrade that will catch the eye and thereby creating the illusion that other things you don’t want to be noticed fade in the background.
Our gallery of Painted Cabinets is sorted by type of wood: Cherry, Maple and Oak. Take a look!
For decades Oak Cabinets were the industry standard for millions of American homes. These cabinets, while likely to have some faux wood laminate covering on the side panels, are well made and of sturdier materials by far than current standards of builder grade cabinets.
If you have replaced your laminate counter top with quartz or granite in the past, or have added a new back splash, you are part of the way to a great look.
We make custom shaker style doors for older cabinets that utilize the sturdiness of your existing cabinet but bring the style into this decade. Yes, the one that just started! Along with the extras, crown, custom pantrys and islands, cabinet reconfiguration etc, you will be amazed at what you can have! This option allows you to save your existing counters and backsplash if needed. New cabinets often mean a replacement of these.
